About Stock Scan. Stock Scan by TSP is an iPhone app for stock rooms. You point the camera at a product box label and it captures only the codes that matter — SKU, serial number and IMEI — groups them into one item per box, and builds a timed, labelled stock list you can export.
The short version: scanning happens on your iPhone using Apple's on-device text and barcode recognition. Your stock list stays on your device unless you export it. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Policies that apply: Privacy Policy · Camera & Scanning · Your Data & Export · Terms of Use.
1. Privacy Policy
Stock Scan is a working tool for a stock room, not a data business. It does not ask you to sign in, does not build a profile of you, and does not send your scans anywhere.
What the app handles
- Scanned codes. The SKU, serial number and IMEI read from the box labels you scan, plus the time each item was captured and any label or note you add.
- Your stock lists. The grouped, timed lists you build from those scans.
- Settings. Your preferences for how codes are recognised and displayed.
These are stored on your iPhone. They are removed when you delete the item or list, or when you uninstall the app.
What the app does not do
- No account, sign-in or user profile.
- No advertising, ad networks or advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, telemetry or third-party tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data — we never receive it.
2. Camera & scanning
Stock Scan needs access to your camera — that is the whole point of the app. iOS will ask your permission the first time, and you can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera (the app cannot scan without it).
- The camera feed is used live, on your device, to recognise codes using Apple's built-in scanning framework.
- No photographs or video of what you scan are saved by the app, and no images are transmitted anywhere. Only the recognised codes are kept.
- Recognition happens on your iPhone — the app does not send camera frames to us or to any cloud service for processing.
3. Your data & exporting
Serial numbers and IMEIs are meaningful business identifiers, so treat exported lists like any other inventory record. When you choose to export a stock list, the app hands that file to you — where it goes next (email, Files, a spreadsheet, your employer's system) is entirely your decision and under your control.
Because everything lives on your device, please keep your own backups of lists you cannot afford to lose, and use your iPhone's passcode/Face ID and device encryption to protect them.
4. Children
Stock Scan is a workplace tool intended for adults and is not directed at children.
5. Advertising
Stock Scan displays no advertising and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. If a future version were ever to include ads, this policy would be updated to disclose it — including what ad partners collect and how to limit it — before that version ships.
6. Terms of Use
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Scanning accuracy depends on label condition, lighting and camera quality — always verify critical codes before relying on them. You are responsible for using the app only on stock you are authorised to handle, and for how you use exported data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Singularity Project and ATZ Enterprises are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including losses arising from mis-scanned or missing codes or from lost local data. Governed by the laws of India; courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction. Your use is also subject to Apple's standard App Store terms.
7. Changes
We may amend this policy at any time as the app changes. The version published on this page is the current one.
