How our app policies work
One policy, tuned per product.
Everything we ship is built to keep your data on your own device. Our browser extensions run locally, request only the permissions they need, and transmit nothing. Our apps keep your work on your device — or, where they sync, through your own iCloud account rather than any server of ours. None of our current products carries advertising or tracking. If a future app is ad-supported, its policy will say so plainly and explain what any ad partner collects and how to limit it. Because everything is delivered digitally through the App Store or Chrome Web Store, no shipping or delivery policy applies.
